Private dinner venue
A waterfall venue an hour from Nashville
Most private dining near Nashville means a back room with a door that closes. This is a 20-foot waterfall, a fire, and a table set beside the creek — with no other guests on the property.

Something a private room can't do
Waterfront is rare in this part of Middle Tennessee — a named, documented waterfall on private ground is rarer still. Old Falls appears in Gregory Plumb's Waterfalls of Tennessee, and for the length of your evening it belongs to your party alone.
The setting does the work that decor usually has to. There is no room to dress, no sound system to fight, and no other seating to be seated near. Guests tend to stay well past the last course.
The arrangement
You rent the venue, not the meal
The grounds
A venue fee holds the property for your evening — quoted with your inquiry, based on party size and date.
The chef
Hired by you, directly. We make introductions to chefs who know the property and travel out regularly. Typically $85–$180 per guest.
The evening
Arrive to a set table and a lit fire. Your chef sources, cooks, serves, and cleans. Nothing is left for you to manage.
Splitting it this way keeps the food budget yours to set, and means the menu is planned with the person actually cooking it.

Evenings that deserve the drive
Anniversaries and proposals, milestone birthdays, bachelorette weekends, and small company dinners all land well here. So do elopements and micro-weddings and team retreats, which use the same grounds with a different shape to the day.
Groups travelling in can stay the night at the Waterfall House rather than drive back after dinner.

Common questions
- How far is the venue from Nashville?
- About an hour southwest of downtown Nashville, and roughly 45 minutes from Franklin. Guests usually treat the drive as part of the evening — the last few miles wind down into the hollow.
- How many guests can you seat?
- The grounds suit intimate gatherings best — typically two to twenty guests. Larger parties are possible depending on the date and setup; ask us.
- What does the venue fee cover?
- Exclusive evening use of the waterfall grounds: the covered porch, the fire pit with firewood, Adirondack chairs at the water, picnic tables, and the creek-side dining area. Only your party is on the property.
- Is catering included?
- No. You hire a private chef directly, which keeps you in control of the menu and the budget. We introduce you to chefs we trust from the Nashville and Franklin dining community; typical pricing runs $85 to $180 per guest.
- What about weather?
- The porch is covered, so light rain is no obstacle. For serious weather we will work with you to move the date rather than have you sit through it.
