Brandon and Sandy Mitchell, hosts of Old Falls

Meet your hosts

Brandon & Sandy

We purchased the Waterfall House after stumbling upon it while riding in the country. Shortly after we moved in, a close friend went through a major life event and came to stay for an extended time, using our place to heal and reflect.

That inspired us to share this property as a sanctuary for people who need to reset from the noise of life. Drawing on our backgrounds in real estate, construction, and hospitality, we built a space that feeds your spirit, soul, and body. That place came to be known as The Loft at Old Falls — and we are both proud and humbled to offer you an invitation to be our guests.

The place

Worth the drive in

Getting here is part of it. The road winds into the hollows of eastern Hickman County until the trees open up, and you hear the water before you see it. One guest called it “the adventure to get there,” and that's about right.

Whether you're here for one unforgettable dinner or a long, slow week, you'll have the falls — and our full attention — to yourselves.

From our guests

In their words

“Your mouth drops open when you first arrive and then it takes about 10 minutes for it to close. It’s a unique place and hard to believe it actually exists. Had a great time creek sitting and just doing nothing. It had been a long time since I just relaxed.”
Michael T. — Huntsville, AL
“Everything from the adventure to get there, sleeping to the sound of the water and drinking coffee in the morning on a beautiful veranda with a private waterfall. Perfect. This is a 10-star destination!”
Kitty L. — Tennessee
“From the moment we arrived, we felt such an overwhelming peace come over us. I loved the uniqueness of the room and coupled with being able to sleep to the sound of the waterfall creates something so magical.”
Stephanie M. — Miamisburg, OH
“I almost don’t want to write a review, because it feels like I am giving away one of my best kept secrets! This is truly the most peaceful place on earth. The waterfall is beautiful to look at, and even better to listen to when you’re falling asleep or wanting to clear your mind.”
Joe B. — Wisconsin
“This is a spot to go to be fully engaged with nature! Put away your cell phone and listen to the sounds of running water. This is the real-deal getaway deep in the woods. We have stayed multiple times, and each time is better than the last.”
Mark O. — California
“Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! We will be back in the fall!”
Diane W. — Portland, OR
